What Gum Contouring Surgery Involves

What to Expect After Surgery
After gum contouring surgery, you will need to rest for the remainder of the day. You can reduce discomfort by taking an over-the-counter analgesic or prescription medication, as your dentist recommends. Never take aspirin, as this thins the blood and can lead to excessive bleeding.
You will need to stick to a diet of soft foods for a few days after your surgery. Also avoid hot and spicy foods and anything with seeds. We will provide you with instructions on how to brush your teeth to keep them clean without damaging your gums.
